The Cleaner’s Network Africa (CNA) conducted a vital cholera sensitization campaign at Karimo Market in Abuja on July 27, 2024. In response to the cholera outbreak affecting communities across Nigeria, CNA members recognized the importance of proactive measures.
Our team distributed hand wash and sanitizers to market attendees, while simultaneously providing crucial education on hand hygiene. Demonstrations on proper handwashing techniques were conducted, and informational materials were distributed to reinforce the message. The campaign reached 720 people across both Abuja and Lagos, with a significant portion of those reached in Karimo Market.
The initiative was well-received by community leaders and market stakeholders, highlighting the importance of such interventions in public health. CNA remains dedicated to supporting communities and preventing the spread of cholera through ongoing sensitization and resource provision.
